Thanks for the heads up on the Malaysian site - It seems that the two agree reasonably well so and the lookahead is a useful bit of info.

It would be interesting to know what the currents are doing in the area also as they will have as much or more impact as the sea state.

There has actually been a fairly disappointing amount of info out of GPC on the actual problem here - all they have really said is that something is partially disconected from something else and it might be fixed in early to mid Feb... A watered down scope of work for the repairs would be very welcome, as well as a timeline for each activity.

To be honest I think GPC may be in the dark - Rubicon are a bit shifty when it comes to this event - given that they mobilised an ROV as a precaution to inspect the riser... don't tell me they didn't know they had stuffed it up during the disconnection, they were just crossing their fingers IMO.
