Deg is clearly a quality explorer ,no question about that ,though anyone thinking about buying should check into the past history of management .I owned it at 4 cents or so ,sold out too soon as I often do .However one doesn't go broke making a profit as they say .Reinvested in other small golds .I have learnt a lot from the Eric Sprott podcast even though I have been investing in this space for more than 30 years though only recently in Aussie stocks .There has been an amazing run but clearly time for a correction to shake out the weak hands .Erics point was that you sold out when something becomes overvalued relative to peers .I am by no means an expert but it became pretty obvious using Erics criteria that there are several Canadian explorers with success similar to DEG that are much cheaper .
Personally I like to buy explorers prior to the big move if I can ,KZM and DEG is an example .KZM also overvalued right now unless they find something big .Right now I like small producers who are incredibly cheap ,have a couple of Aussie ones and several in Arizona/Nevada .
Yesterday was a real down day for all golds and silver ,blood on the streets as they say .Gold down 5% but the small producers down way more and they are incredibly cheap again .
I think and its just my personal opinion as a private investor that Deg has had a huge run ,cant see much profit in it for the foreseeable future .Years away from production .Too expensive for anyone to buy .If it got back to 50 cents might look at it again .I am not in any way associated with any brokers /brokerage houses just a private investor living in the US who enjoys(mostly)investing in the mining space .Most people end up loosing money of course ,my account is up 47% this year .ARH
