Another thought.
Tesla would do better, much better, if Electric Cars become mainstream instead of niche.
Elon has probably realised that without the traditional big brands going all in on EV, sales of EV cars will be confined to environmental kooks and miscellaneous tossers.
Until mum and dad are buying them in droves the market will remain small.
