the main reason deposit is unviable is this deposit is a cyanide leach open pit mining, and slovakia does not allow either. Cyanide Leach is banned and open pit wont get approved by local tourist community and businesses(its a tourist destination - medieval theme) and even the full underground mining will take a while to get approved.
Underground mining wont scale efficiently cost wise and will be too costly, capex intense for a $20m dollar company.
