Hi Gosh.

Unlike most NOPTA approvals, this one has far greater political implications for the government (both NSW and Federal). One only has to look at the recent 'tour' promoting the benefits of gas and carbon storage. Remember: NOPTA is signed off by 2 government (Fed and NSW) ministers. I reckon this will be released when it is politically practical (ie. the government has had plenty of time to spread the message of the benefits of gas to the east coast) rather than a simple time-frame based on usual NOPTA approval times.
It could be a few weeks away (based on that) but I'm expecting October sometime, given the effort to promote the issue along the east coast in the past 2 weeks or so. Hang in there!
