Yes, Peter Smith 'retired' and I'd have to say I agree with your analysis of how he probably felt at that meeting!

If you compare the same scenario with most shareholders - everyone went along to the EGM's and AGM's last 18 months feeling a state of 'excitement' at these fantastic sounding projects that Smyth was getting us into.

Fantastic - oil - copper - gold - rare earths - prominent Angolans - etc etc etc......this is the WHOLE point.
Smyth was "the Messiah" and the shareholders all loved and believed him.......the EGM's and AGM's were easy for him, as the research at that point hadn't unearthed that not only were there no prominent Angolans anywhere near the share register, and never have been to date, unless Malcolm Johnson calls himself a prominent Angolan these days - but the projects weren't REALLY being worked, and paper was just being mostly shuffled between what we now know were entities where 'MJ had an interest' even if his name didn't appear.

Now that we all have a MUCH better understanding of the modus operandi, the names involved, and the role Smyth is playing - is it any wonder the 'mood' of the meetings has changed and now we see Smyth on the back foot and shareholders pushing forward?

Directors who haven't liked the operation appear to have walked away or been pushed away - we are not sure with many why they have gone.......but we can clearly understand the 'distanced' look you saw on Peters face.
