Don't wish to quench the obvious optimism on this thread, but there are 3 points I'd like to put:

1) I understand from the Battery Day talk by Musk that they plan to use "an elastic ion-conducting polymer coating" in their anodes.

Now, some holders of ADO might get all fired up about this; it sounds just like Anteobind or AnteoX. The point that trips me up is "ion-conducting". Does Anteobind or AnteoX conduct ions? I've never heard this mentioned before.
That's what makes me think it might be something else.

2) They plan to use "raw, metallurgical Silicon" as opposed to refined or treated Si (such as produced by SFS). This is because it will cut costs a lot. Will Anteobind or AnteoX work with raw Si? I've never seen this mentioned before either.

3) Tesla are unashamedly concentrating their production in the USA. Everything from Li-mining to battery production to car assembly will be there. This prediction, combined with point (2) suggests that SFS will not, in future, be supplying Tesla with materials. Neither will Panasonic, CATL or anyone else. This leads me to believe they would currently have little influence on the way of the future.

If anyone can refute any of these points, I welcome it.
