MrG, I'm glad you acknowledged that the Catholic Church was the dominant religion at the time of John, and if you read that verse you gave 1John 2:18, he's talking (written) to the same church as the one in the last hour, which has dominated for centuries, meaning the true church is still here, also keeps on talking about the antichrist appearing in the last hour, really good match to the watchtower, as they have only appeared in this last hour, they were not there at the time of John, and making Christ as Michael how much more antichrist can you get then this, this is how I know it's the last hour.
