Found myself enjoying a bit of a weekend read and stumbled upon what I thought was a poignant, and relevant paragraph from the book by Author Yuval Noah Harari, titled Homo Deus, which I wanted to share with you as I found it quite relevant at this current point in time.

In reality, humans don't die because a figure in a black cloak taps them on the shoulder, or because God decreed it, or because mortality is an essential part of some great cosmic plan. Humans always die due to some technical glitch. The hearts stops pumping blood, the main artery is clogged with fatty deposits, cancerous cells spread in the liver, or germs multiply in the lungs. And what is responsible for all these technical problems? Other technical problems. The heart stops pumping blood because not enough oxygen reaches the heart muscle. Cancerous cells spread because a chance genetic mutation rewrote their instructions. Germs settled in the lungs because somebody sneezed on the subway (especially relevant right now) and there is nothing metaphysical about it. .They are all technical problems, and every technical problem, has a technical solutionWe don't need to wait for the second coming in order to overcome death. A couple of geeks in a lab can do it. At present we don't have solutions to all the technical problems. This is precisely why we invest so much time and money in researching cancer, germs, genetics and nanotechnology."
Massive week ahead for Mesoblast, and regardless of whether you're a long-term holder, have just invested, currently sitting on the fence undecided, or a naysayer like our friend Sector, let's hope the FDA grant approval on, or before September 30. It will mark monumental progress for medicine, and I for one am excited to see that potentially come to fruition.
Don't forget that patience is a virtue, and good things take time, I know it's been a long ride for some, and it may all be about to pay off. Thank you to all of the contributors to the MSB threads, it's made for captivating reading in many cases, and your efforts are very much appreciated, particularly for those of us with no medical background. The continued learning experience has been like being back studying for me, and I've enjoyed nearly every moment, and hopefully I'm not the only one!
