Alan, thats a cheap shot. You know the stimulus is about a combination of measures that can be implemented fairly quickly. The bigger picture issues are already part of the normal government process that will be undertaken by government. Part of the normal infrastructure budget process. In other words they are a top priority. This package is about saving our economy now before it spirals out of control.
My only issue with your original post is that you maintained that after the money is spent thats it, its gone. Surely you would agree that is not the case. The extra cash in the economy ticks over and has a longer lasting impact than some people think. I agree with you that infrastructure is a key to our future and I am confident that is being addressed outside this specific stimulus package.
