Will add that I probably average 3-4 hrs a day on fundamental analysis.
You need to understand value drivers and that means looking 3-5 years into the future at what state of asset development is likely to be. Approach has been very successful.
You give yourself an edge understanding stock fundamentals before the rest of the market does.
Although for MSB I am comparatively late to the party.
Taking time to understand fundamentals is critical for conviction. It also allows you to take advantage of irrational market reaction to newsflow.
