wife and i watched the late news on fox last night and were horrified by the loss of life..My wife lived in the Adelaide hill at the time of Ash Wednesday..watching the fire race up hills and across roads on the news sent shivers down her spine and she remarked that was what it like all those years ago..most people who died in the Adelaide hills that year were trying to out run the fire ,leaving homes too late..history seems to repeat..u cant fight fires like this with garden hoses..u cant outrun firestorms like this in cars..
absolutely horrendous to see this happen again..
and it will happen again..will we have learnt by then..
