help for fire victims...rally

Just wondering if there is anyone in Brisbane area with a truck run that goes to Melbourne weekly or anything like that.

I believe we could organise a truck full of furniture, bedding, clothes, food, anything people have that they can spare to help the people who have lost their homes in Victoria....

Im happy to co ordinate a drop off spot for goods in Brisbane and the Gold Coast if anyone can organise the transportation.

Also think this could be done from Sydney and other major towns, just from Hot Copper readership....

I know if I sorted my own cupboards I could spare a lot of things that we rarely use - and believe nearly everyone would be the same.

No doubt there will be a cash appeal too for donating through banks, but furniture, kitchen utensils, down to cups saucers, towels and all those things etc would mean that money from the cash appeal could go to other things.

Anyone want to join in?
