There's definitely some investors (retail and otherwise) that would be looking to de-risk ahead of the FDA decision. On the institutional side of things, if you have made a 30 or 40% profit on MSB then it does make some sense to lock that in, wait for the announcement and buy back when the hype settles. A lot of traders want their gains to be assured and measured, not speculative.

    As an example:
If you're able to sell at $5.50 or so yesterday, then wait for the FDA decision, the stock bounces to say $6.20 and then retraces slowly to $5.80 or so... you've de-risked for a small cost (tax implications aside).

I can totally understand that position, and there's probably plenty of people on HC who have also sold down some of their holdings in the last week or so to de-risk. It's not personally what I'm doing, but it's a valid position to take, and a more likely explanation for the dip than "market manipulation", "leaks" or "shorting fiestas".

I think we do get approval though, based on the evidence available, and a solid bounce on the hype should follow, but this is small time compared to the other three phase 3s in progress. at $5.10ish though I think we're getting close to buy territory.
