P2p is a disruptive technology but maybe doesn't work under corporate management. Lenders want more than they get at a bank and probably would take a higher risk for suitable return. Borrowers obviously want lower rates. A market probably exists, but not with enough overlap for the corporate management to also extract a margin, and certainly not "growth in margin" they always need.
Plenti tried to grow margin by screwing lenders. But money can walk. They paid the fee for being approved for retail investors, but didn't really have product terms that suit these investors at the rates offered.
I don't think a listed company is a suitable vehicle for a p2p platform
