There are savings in
- Wages
- Office space
- Provision of tech/phones etc
- Outsourced costs (legal and WorkCover etc)
I'd guess about $200m in savings but could be closer to $400m if they get rid of a few overpaid managers. Of course, knowing AMP they will probs get rid of the low paid workers and keep the fat cats.
Then there are the capital expenses that need to go onto the balance sheet. I'd say redundancy costs at about $150m-$200m and this will go onto the balance sheet. Maybe there goes the share buyback money?
