<just to be clear - am not commenting on Trump as person or his competence etc. - more on the position of a US president + the Covid19 related hoo-ha always circling around his viewpoints)...

to your point - what's it got to do with AT1 SP = severe market jitters, possibility of another severe fall in SP - like the Mar2020 one...but now driven by the un-trackable outcomes if the US Pres ends up on a ventilator (or not) or becomes sick enough to need US VP (an unknown global leader) to be sworn in 2mths before their most volatile, chaotic elections to date....and so on and so on...

Think of the possible ins/outs of the US Pres getting ill at this moment in time - in a explosively charged country already that is ideologically split (incl whether Covid19 is real or not, whether masks needed or not etc). US markets is one of the main reasons we have had huge volatility globally for last 12mths.

In every in or out, whatever anybody researches or believes in, the market will be unsure where its going next - its not about fundamentals..and market was already dis-connected from biz reality a fair bit since March2020 anyway.

US markets + US $ influence everything globally in the stock markets. It doesn't matter who Trump is as a person.....its everything about his position as the US leader, what he is about, what he has said last 12mths, the US election hoo-ha going on, the arguments that stem for/against all this...and the possibility of him falling more sick (or not) = US markets going in un-predictable directions = an un-predictable market futures globally.
