Here's the bit about the manufacturing plant in SA from the Lib election guff:

"The preferred location of the wave energy facility is along the Limestone Coast of South Australia, near Mt Gambier, while the preferred location for the manufacturing and assembly facility is in the Edinburgh Parks industrial park in Adelaide."

It goes on to also say:

"The wave energy facility will be used to supply baseload power into the South Australian grid and the National Electricity Market. The fresh water produced by the desalination plant could be used to supply local users, to recharge underground aquifers and to reduce the stress on the River Murray and the Murray Darling System."

So you never know, in a perfect world maybe Penny Wong would be keen to throw a bit of her $1bill our way, now that it will benefit her home patch.

I bet the WA govt is on the phone to the WA watercorp politely asking "when the effing hell are you going to award them the binningup contract, you lazy, good for nuthin slackers!"
