The short termers trade within the boundaries of the medium termers who trade within the boundaries of the long terms. When it's all working right you get nice steady and more importantly sustainable appreciation towards long term real value. You might want it higher today (as do all of us) but can be harmful when things move too fast and interests get out of alignment.
