Request for Trading Halt
I refer to our recent discussions and confirm that HeartWare International, Inc. (ASX code: HIN)
wishes to request a trading halt in its securities effective immediately.
The Company provides the following information in accordance with Listing Rule 17.1:
• The reason for the trading halt is that the Company anticipates making an announcement
on Monday morning in relation to the outcome of a material corporate transaction.
• The trading halt is to last until the commencement of trade on Monday 15 February 2009.
• The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
