Hi Defined, you made a good point regarding more people coming into WA.
Of course, the number of immigrants will probably remain limited until the end of 2021, according to the last comments of Jo Frydenberg. However, I would not be surprised to see a significant increase of "domestic" migration from other states, as people are now focusing more on the quality of life. Of course, we need WA to reopen to see if I may be right on that point.
Another point about the property market : I thought previously the risk was that the government could reduce its strong support to the sector. However, I think now that it has no choice, but to support the sector given the significant impact it has on employment (directly and undirectly) and the weak underlying demand is also due to the government policy to keep the borders closed at least until the end of 2021.
