Leslie speaks initially from around 3:20 - 7:20. It was particularly interesting to hear her refer to the current Her-Vaxx phase 2 trial and say "We get to have that actual beautiful proof of concept... and we get to have a look at a little bit of the efficacy." Still a lot of that confidence on show....

She speaks again from 12:00 onwards to 13:50 - she gives a general overview of immuno-oncology, combination therapy, and the huge size and rapid growth of the market.

16:56 to 18:40 - a bit more about the current situation with Imugene. Leslie states " I've always been a keen believer that money follows science" - and then she goes on to explain exactly why Dr Rita Laeufle is such a great appointment as Chief Medical Officer. It was actually a better summary than they gave in the official Announcement, and she links it very closely with her "money follows the science" comment.

On the money issue, we get a repeat of the cash position - $30m in the bank - and mention of the IMUOA options generating additional cash now, with the B and C options bringing in more "annually." So she seems very confident that that the B and C's will be "in the money."

Overall impressions:

This tells us what we already know. Leslie is a highly competent and experienced CEO who knows exactly what she is doing and feels very good about the situation of the company. They have 2 drug candidates in clinical trials and 2 more about to start. The excellent financial situation makes them secure and funds the work in progress. They have just made an excellent appointment as Chief Medical Officer.

For me the interesting hint was "money follows the science." Maybe it was just a general statement of principle, or maybe it's a clue to current negotiations in progress.

As always with biotech, time alone will tell.
