I live in SE Asia and work have worked with many mainland Chinese & Indian crews... the Indians in general are lazy, talk big and know nothing, the Chinese work hard, ask lots of questions, never give out any info and will go through your laptop as soon as your backs turned. The difference from what I have seen is that in Asia they come form a "rat race" so to speak and we Australians do not. Asian's are very racist in a sense, but it's their country, so up to them. As for the Chinese buying up Australian... Frankie2008 has said it all.
