FDA will no way want it stopped early as this would only make them look bad in terms of their decision on Gvhd on children .They will want it to go full term to back their stance on requiring lots of data for a new medicine
I personally don't want the trial stopped early (I doubt also that it will be stopped for overwhelming efficacy at 45% readout).
There is a significant lack of high-standard trials for MSCs and ARDS in the western world. If this trial were to be seen out fully, the skeptic, critics and naysayers will have very little choice but to accept the scientific outcomes (if the results are favourable).
It's not in my hands though, it's up to the DSMB's analyses.
