Perhaps you misunderstood my highlighting of that point, I am well aware that it needs to be removed for debridement and that consent doesn't need to be obtained in those situations. I was referring to that there were no issues with the dermal substitute itself, rather that it was simply getting in the way of them performing the required procedures to prevent sepsis and that it remains a robust product with minimal infection risks itself.
