I wouldn't invest in DOU until they actually start signing up many paying customers (to their subscription plans) and can prove they have a sustainable revenue model. No need to worry about me.

DOU will get some marketing money from Mastercard for sure. The trade-off is that they are stuck with Mastercard and cannot offer Visa/Discovery/etc cards later on in their business evolution, even if they became large enough to see the benefit in doing so. It may not be a big deal right now though.

The prospectus still shows that DOU have a marketing strategy that they will need to fund with 45% (or so) of their IPO proceeds. Something like $2-3m. This won't be paid for by Mastercard.

Mastercard supports many many companies. It's part of their strategy of gaining exclusive rights to the cards those companies offer. It's always important to see it for what it is. It's great that they have a partnership. But if they didn't, then they'd just have a partnership with Visa instead.

I'm not knocking DOU here at all. It just seems like there's heaps of people blinded by share price movement to look at the company properly.
