C'mon get behind it people, this would be the biggest engineering project since the snowy. Imagine creating 2 giant damns one in outback queensland which would provide water for brisbane and one in outback NSW, the rest of the water would head south to lake Eildon then onto melbourne through the north south pipeline the victorian government is building. This project would create thousands of jobs over at least the next 5 years. Its better than just handing out cash so people can go out and buy more chinese crap, yay keep another factory in china open and a sales assistant in a job.
