Ive said it before and I'll say it again.. It is ridicoulous that PPS has not been commercialised IMHO to this point. further the hoops that the FDA want us to jump though makes no sense and (he's where I get my consipracy theorist hat on ... is Big Pharma paying to keep such drugs out of the market for fear of killing there little opioid)... I digress...

Througout this paper there are a number of references to Patents (Arthropharm), and easy access to PPS specifically Page 11 ("pentosan polysulphate is approved for marketing use in most EEC Countries, Austrlia, South Africa and Scandinavian countries"), Im gathering this is in relation to Animal use only? I note that Cartropen is still sold today do we know where they source their PPS?

Also in Page 37 "Italian Source in February 2001", she was able to buy it over the counter from a pharmacy in Italy and injected it weekly. My question is how is that possible unless has been approved for another indication which I was not aware of?

Can anybody shed any light on the above points?

Note Im not inffering once this gets mainstream everyone will run to the Vet to get PPS, as there are a multitude of drugs that are available in both the Human and Animal world that are the same just branded differently. If a Vetinary Surgeon values the years of study they did to join the profession they won't be handing out prescriptions of Cartropen to willing customers. Though as discusses previously there will be leakage of sales to the black market due simply to peoples ability to be able to afford the branded product.
