OK, the party is over you climate change deniers. Back to reality.
I have debunked the original post.
I have clearly argued that this Gary M. Hoover person has manipulated the fact that historical data "indicates atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration to be a result of temperature change and not a cause" - a claim no one denies - and that he has misused this fact to assert that therefore man-made CO2 will have little or no impact on temperature.
I have detailed a series of facts that prove that the two situations are extremely different and that the scenario he refers to does not apply to the anthropogenic climate change scenario.
Therefore, I maintain that he has misled us by misrepresenting the facts.
I have also shown that he has a possible motivation for this action. Please do not underestimate this - a conflict of interest is a conflict of interest.
I challenge all climate change deniers to address the facts I have posted here and if you have issue with any of them please say so here and now and please clearly state why.
Please do not muddy the discussion by including references to any Maunder Minimum, sunspots or the Church versus Galileo. (I do appreciate the difficulties Galileo went through and I do not want to underestimate his huge contribution to modern science.)
The issue at hand is atmospheric CO2 concentration versus temperature. Please stick to the point or post on another thread.
