There is just other point I would like to add: the $42b package has been passed by the parliament.

Further talks about the right or wrong of this package is frankly academic. The best thing to do is to revisit your unfavorable views of this package in, say, 3 months time by which time there should be some evidence on the effectiveness or not of this measure.

This is how I would deal with my position on the government's decision.

Like I had said already several times before, this $42b package is not the ONLY economic initiative the government has. How the government has been dealing with this expected economic woes will be judged by the various initiatives it has put in place, not just on one single initiative which some seems to think there is all there is.

In my mind, this government has been competent in dealing with situations as they arise. Whether it is a brilliant government or not, we can only look back to make that kind of assessment when the time comes.
