Sutton clarifies he was part of AHPPC meeting (Re: NZ arrivals) but arrived late

The 'travel bubble' and arrival of citizens from overseas, including NZ, was discussed at this meeting earlier this week.

Andrews claimed at today's press conference he knew nothing of the arrivals and that he blames Morrison for not informing him, yet his CHO and Deputy were in attendance.

The CHO, Brett Sutton, claims he was at the meeting but not present at the critical time when the NZ travel bubble was discussed. He did so at today's press conference.

Suttons Deputy was also present at this meeting and Sutton confirms he was in attendance throughout.

My question is, if Victorian public servants are attending these meetings are they actually comprehending what's discussed? What's the point of having these meetings if our public servants are not comprehending what's going on and are not acting upon the decisions made at these meetings.

The fate of Victoria is in their hands, yet they appear incapable of reading/understanding emails sent to them and not acting upon information provided to them at important national meetings held for the purposes of protecting public safety.

It's indefensible that our Leaders can't understand emails or implement procedures discussed and agreed at nationally important meetings.
