Many of us are ex-holders or those who follow the stock because we might like to invest if they ever get their act together and/or policy conditions change.
You ignored my earlier comment about the effect of government regulations on a sector. Another example is health services. A few years back they talked about reducing government rebates for diagnostics and the Sonic share price dropped like a stone but recovered when the government backed down.
Private "recruitment agencies", "aged care" and "education services" are all strong donors and obtain huge sums from the government but if their subsidies were withdrawn most would barely survive. HelloWorld Travel received support, Qantas was supported but Virgin left to rot. Telstra seems to be at the Virgin end of government indulgence.
If you don't understand the game of mates that goes on (particularly on the conservative side of politics) good luck with your investments.
