I think in a perfect world where everything made sense we would be best off when:

1) There were many more buyers than sellers.
2) Share price was increasing with volume. What all the TA books say should be happening.

Lets have a look at a few of the goldies from my index. This can't be happening. These companies are going up on quite often small or declining volume. The text books can't be wrong can they?

I would always prefer interest in a stock compared to non-interest but I think we all need to keep an open mind that the text books are quite often full of it.
