I'm not really talking about any new gold exploration - There are loads of existing SA gold, diamond and platinum operations that would be struggling to be viable without the current high prices. some of these are so far underground they'd be a chance of surfacing in the northern hemisphere. The good news for us is the huge amount of electricity they consume and therefore the increased demand for coal, and expenditure on power infrastructure. Whilst these operations are still mining there is far greater urgency to upgrade the existing power network, as well as develop the new power stations. It basically keeps one of the key boxes ticked for us when we eventually get in to production.
