HUBEI SEEKS INTEREST IN USD 143M WASTEWATER PPP
A municipal environment bureau in central China’s Hubei province today launched a prequalification for a CNY 953m (USD 143m) wastewater treatment PPP project.
The build-operate-transfer project will involve the construction of 472 centralized wastewater treatment facilities and 76,599 distributed treatment facilities, with a combined daily capacity of 28,325m³ to serve villages administered by the Huangpi district of Wuhan city. Construction will take two years and the concession period is 18 years.
To implement the PPP, a special project vehicle will be jointly established by the government funding representative and the private investor, holding 10% and 90%, respectively. The project capital will be CNY 190m, accounting for 20% of the total investment, and the remaining will be in the form of debt.Consortia can have a maximum of three members. Only companies registered in mainland China are eligible to apply.
The deadline to submit applications is 10 November.
