First of all... You clearly don't know what "green hydrogen" is... lol... Green hydrogen is hydrogen made from renewable energy sources like wind, solar, hydro etc via electrolysis of H20. So don't say: "including promoting the joke that is "green hydrogen" from fossil fuels." That is 100% factually and unequivocally wrong.

Alternatively, blue hydrogen is from natural gas reforming (steam-methane reforming, a mature production process in which high-temperature steam (700°C–1,000°C) is used to produce hydrogen from a methane source, such as natural gas).

I never claimed that using Gas to make hydrogen and hydrogen as an energy source was highly efficient??? You pay a price to reduce your carbon emissions. And that price is energy efficiency. It is far more efficient to just burn the gas in a gas fired power plant. However, if carbon capture works, then this hydrogen method is a great idea.... supported by the CSIRO chief scientist.. and she IS NOT A CLIMATE DENIER.

Also.... batteries are currently not good enough.... BUT... if we use renewables to make hydrogen... You could think of hydrogen as kind of like a battery... great idea. So Green hydrogen is a great, great idea. And according to the Government Green hydrogen will one day be how we will get to zero emissions by 2050-2100.

Lastly, people have said for a very long time that carbon capture is not very effective. And for a long time that has been true, however carbon capture is now more effective then ever. Direct Air capture as of 2019 is able to collect carbon dioxide out of the air at large scale: Bill Gates and Chevron are backing this technology. "Carbon Engineering published research that revealed its process would cost between $94-232 per ton of CO2 captured, previously this was $600 per ton of CO2 captured. This renewed interest in the company, especially after the Intergovernmental panel on Climate Change has said some form of carbon capture will be needed to keep global warming below 1.5*C."

Hanabi, it sounds like your information is wrong and outdated, please try again.
