You have to get the feeling though, that if the sp is in fact where it should be, then asset values must have fallen by more than 85% in the Valad portfolio alone. I think this is extremely unlikely as property is still, regardless of the state of the economy right now, a rare commodity and that people will need property for investment when the global economy begins to pick up, which, being the eternal optimist, I think will be in 2h09.


I think a takeover is the preferred scenario, as I would start buying on market if I had some spare cash. How could you not???
