I think what is been said, which was really something I was also saying to Ubique, is Crimms is unproven at the scale proposed for lithium production by MLL in the spodumene space (but every new technology in a new space has to start somewhere at the appropriate scale and ramp up).

If you look at LTR who will also use whole of floatation (before look at PLL, AJM, PLS, Greenbushes who use floatation with DMS attached) in producing spodumene Whims is used. Possibly MLL are proposing to use CRIMMs because the crush size MLL is proposing is a smaller than what the others are proposing, but that is a guess so will be interesting how the technology copes at scale. I guess because there has been no pilot plant of sufficient scale, and IMO the METs themselves need more thorough analysis because of the variability of grade in the MLL ore, so essentially I am saying testing Crimms against different grades of Li20 to test responsiveness to what is produced and what is the recovery rate impact at different grades to get a perception of overall recovery rate might be worth revisiting. There is a question as to whether MLL should be doing more MET works to ensure it is satisfied it can achieve the stated recovery rate in the DFS. Time will tell how effective the process is.

Having said that it is also irrelevant at this stage IMO, because MLL is focusing on gold, specifically becoming a gold producer now, so probably IMO MLL has a little more time to do the testing itself in the lithium space before committing way way or the other. As a gold producer it has time, but MLL need to increase its gold reserves and the last month when I posted from this post I thought you got a good deal in the gold space by the way - Post #: 47678841.

And agree going to need a number of new greenfields players in the lithium space to meet demand so MLL also has time IMO to test CRIMMs further etc etc whilst it is making money in gold (assuming it can increase its reserves ). Mining is developed and progressed through the development of new technology or using/rescoping existing technologies to an issue requiring to be solved in another 'product space', here lithium - nothing is stagnant so using new technology should not be a show stopper IMO and never has been in mining.

To illustrate, before the 80s everyone was high grading in gold production - viability was plus often 5 grams per tonne in mines, but then along came CIP/CIL technology and now open cut mines can be viable, provided have sufficient resources, at 1 g/t to 2 g/t. Someone had to show the technology works and then everyone took it up LOL. It is progress, but obviously risks reside if the technology doesn't work at scale with the initial user etc etc, but rewards also reside with them if the technology is proved effective in that space, here been in spodumene production (after they I presume go back and think about it after producing gold etc etc).

    All IMO
