The logic is quite simple (even for your head):

GR - sells assets to Centro at a highly inflated price (MAKES MONEY)
GR - then becomes the so called savior of Centro supposedly saving it. (MAKES MONEY)
GR - goes to NY (again supposedly saving the company, whilst most assets are sold to pay off banks that he now works for - HE DOES NOT WORK FOR CENTRO ANYMORE!!!!)
GR - retires

Which part of that do you not understand?
