You seem to be getting your facts wrong. Venezuela has the world's largest oil reserves with about 300 billion barrels (18.2% of the world's proven reserves), even more than Saudi Arabia (number 2 with 266 billion barrels or 16.2%). Argentina is way down at number 33 with 2 billion barrels. For comparison, Australia is at number 38 with about 1 billion barrels. The good news about the Venezuelan reserves is that the oil ain't coming out of the ground very quickly because they are pretty much a failed state that can't get its sh*t together and the US has imposed sanctions against them so they can't access US financial markets. I don't know where you got this comparison from. Apart from being wrong, it's also bizarre.
