About a year or so ago I gave my opinion of why I felt the tournaments would be a high success.
Only those who gamble would truly understand how peoples minds work when it comes to winning something.
The tournament and prizes structure would work like a poker site.
Tournaments every 5 minutes ,1 hour daily weekly monthly over AAA and easy games based on a point buy in with daily free tournaments where you can win points to enter prized tournaments ,this is how it works on a poker site ,other than on a poker site you can just pay the fee to join in cash.
AAA games is a good thing for the gamer ,but the game quality means little to the gamblers or those targeting the prizes.
Gamblers and those targeting prizes ,and particularly the older generation ,will be looking for easy to play well known games that they understand how to play ,not some fancy hard to play AAA game.
So those thinking that the games are crap ,and that is a reason for why many wont sign up ,are just thinking of there needs for the best newest games ,but older people and those that find it hard to play many of these AAA recent games ,will be looking for games that are easier to play ,so as to have a far greater chance of winning a prize.
The games mean little at the moment ,it is the prizes and ability to be able to win a prize against the pro's and younger people who play games all the time.
Why pay $12 a month to play if you have no chance against the pro's ,or the games are to difficult to play.
Older easy to play games for us older people and people who play games less ,and I reckon millions will join up.
Only or mostly AAA harder to play games ,will result in us older people moving on for the pro's and younger people to play.
The poker site tournament and prize structure for all to play games ,is a master stroke ,and the only reason why I first bought in ,and only having to spend $12 a month to play a wider variety of games than a poker site with many opportunities to win prizes ,will attract millions of people in my opinion.
Less to play and more enjoyable in trying to win something for the punters and all.
