I live in the northern suburbs of Melbourne and my wife and I needed to get a COVID-19 test on Saturday as she works at one of the schools that currently has an outbreak. I got mine at a hospital clinic and was invited to take part in a study involving a new nasal swab test that produces results in 15 minutes. I received both the study test and the standard test, so two swabs in total.
IMO if this form of fast test proves to be as accurate as the standard test, it may be useful in the opening up the airline industry.
Thankfully we both tested negative, which was a great relief as I’m immunosuppressed.
