Santa, I don't think any real projects could be implemented over coming weeks or months and that is why the government is handing out short term stimulus money. At least they are not just doing this just before an election like the Liberals were doing in recent years.
I expect the federal government to begin implementation of some big long term projects with the May budget, along with real increases in pensions and benefits that will improve the lot of pensioners over the long term.
But these things will have minimal impact on the economy for some time and the really big ticket items may require a years planning before they get started.
