If you want to keep your friends, don't. If it comes up in casual conversation mention you've bought, but with the caveat you're not recommending it to them as it's a mining share, there's no guarantees and you've only put money in that you can afford to lose, same with Mum and brother. For instance if they'd bought a couple of days ago they'd be looking at a significant loss percentage wise right now and would be fairly pissed off with you, Mum and brother probably are lol (closed at 70p Monday UK). All just IMHO.
