(AEIBA) IBA Health wins contract in Middle East

Sydney - Monday - June 7: (RWE) - IBA Health Ltd has received
the first order from its new channel partner in the United Arab
Emirates, Healthcare Solutions Middle East (HCS).
The five-year contract, worth more than $1.7 million ($450,000
will be recognised this financial year) will deliver IBA's web-based
Medication Management solution, a key component of its globally
recognised IBA Clinical suite, to the Department of Health and Medical
Services in Dubai.
Directors say, "IBA's Medication Management System will deliver
a truly collaborative, interdisciplinary, point-of-care solution that
will allow health professionals to manage the delivery of medications
across the DOHMS hospitals and primary health centres.
"By integrating and streamlining the medication process, health
professionals will spend less time on unnecessary transcription and
error-prone medication paperwork, freeing them to spend more time
dedicated to hands-on patient care.
"Health professionals will be provided with point-of-care tools
that will allow them to electronically prescribe medications.
"Simultaneously they can be advised of potential drug allergies,
drug interactions, drug contraindications to patient conditions and
dosage checks designed to pick-up errors in dosage, and will even alert
doctors if a relevant blood test is outside the range recommended for a
particular drug dosage."
IBA shares rose 2.5c to 26.5c this morning.
