I see PLS is in a trading halt pending an announcement regarding an acquisition.
What this suggests to me (assuming it is to acquire a junior explorer such as maybe AJM) is that consolidation within the Lithium sector will start ramping up very soon due to too many small players looking to start up mining.

This will be good for AVZ as less players who are also larger will have far more muscle to stop the Chinese manipulating the market by playing small lithium companies against each other.

The end result will be a few large lithium producers and a much higher lithium price.
It also means that AVZ is highly likely to become a takeover target in the near future.
