Cheers @TerribleTadpole...... you make very sound points though I'm less inclined to be so critical of the BOD.

My present sentiment on Mr Jiang is mixed, though somewhat biased because of my experience elsewhere (as described above).... hence I only recommend "caution".

The BOD has offered, imo, no opinion on whether to accept Jiang's application. The fact that his proposals are undeveloped is concerning and suggests to me that this is a half-hearted effort. Before making a decision, I will require considerably more information.

Yer old Mum was very wise to advise to "squint" ... protect your vision from contamination (of falsity) and peer closely into the heart of the matter.
