Its not about CNP retaining control, but the lending banks seizing their share of the assets. Why would a bank that lent to CER not want a samilar deal regarding CER, it has nothing to do with CNP, it CER & their lender that have to reach agreement.
Remember the assets are now up the chain in CER now for picking, not in CNP.
If I was a banker & had seen how CNP management behaved with CNP refinancing , why wouldn't I try for a similar deal given past history of management.
