It is my opinion that the ends do not justify the means and that this has only delayed the inevitable. It's pretty evident that covid19 is here to stay. When vaccines become available, not everyone is going to take it. The same dangers are going to exist in the future with this virus that exist today. The percentages have been consistent across the globe with covid19 deaths despite whether or not a country has gone into lock down.
Even the World Health Organisation has spoken out about extended lockdowns being excessive as your primary method to control the virus.
I know someone who works in an ER department at a major Melbourne hospital. He is anti Trump and even he said that the Melbourne lockdowns were excessive. The amount of people who were rolling into the emergency department because of drug and alcohol abuse as well as suicide had risen considerably whilst barely any beds were filled with covid 19 patients.
Living your life just to survive is not living your life.
