Its not about whether people are thankful or not for the MM bid...it is all about being very p*ssed off that there even needs to be this low ball takeover. Just consider...

A company with assets valued at around $5Billion
A company that has $145million in the bank
A company with debt of just $1.2Billion, ie debt/equity of less than 30%! (most companies would kill for that)
A company that is just firing up what is generally regarded as a world class mine and a soon to be cash cow, money which has not yet contributed anything to the bottom line but when it does will be CASH!CASH!CASH!!!

A company with shareholder investments that are to be destroyed because of short term circumstance, hardheaded and previously irresponsible banks, and unfortunately blinkered management.
A company with shareholder investments that are going to be destroyed but for a couple of months more grace!!!

Sheeesh I'm annoyed!
